Friday 3.9.2010 was the first day of the competition for the pilots. The first pilot who performed
the Q-program was Italian competitor Vittorio Primultini. There was unfavorable weather
throughout the competition, but after the lunch the height of the cloud base was good enough
for the first take-offs. 48 competitors from 13 countries were signed up for the Q-program.
Before the end of the day 25 pilots performed. The next day the weather became better so the
pilots could fly since the early morning and at 4 p.m. the French competitor Renaud Ecalle
finished the first program. The scoring officer worked quickly so the results were known after an
hour. Since no protests were lodged these official results were announced:
1. Renaud Ecalle from France with 2978,30 points
2. Oleg Shpolyanskiy from Russia 2964,86 points
3. Svetlana Kapanina from Russia 2957,96 points
In the lead of the team competition is the Russian team followed by the French and Great
Britain team.
The Czech team has 7 pilots. Martin Šonka has placed at the 16th place followed by Petr
Kopfstein from Aeroclub Touzim and Marek Hyka. Total of their points placed the Czech team on
the fourth place.
